Summary

We are looking for a beauty professional to join our team at Jasper Float Spa & Wellness Center. We offer clients the absolute best in beauty services. As a part of our team, you consult with clients regarding skincare, hair removal, and other beauty care and services. Your position is a combination of providing education and practical services, resulting in happy clients that are empowered to take hold of their appearance and confidence. This role requires strong communication and technical skills, professionalism, and a client-centered approach. The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and committed to maintaining licensure standards and spa service excellence. Our ideal candidate has experience providing a wide range of services, including massage, skincare, and waxing. This position begins as a part-time independent contractor (1099). Following successful completion of this introductory period, the role is expected to transition to a W-2 employee position for the right candidate– based on performance, availability, and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients’ skin type, condition, and concerns
• Recommend personalized treatment plans and home‑care routines
• Perform facials, exfoliation, steaming, masks, and targeted skincare services
• Conduct extractions and non‑medical cosmetic procedures within state guidelines (e.g., microdermabrasion, chemical peels, etc.)
• Provide waxing, tweezing, and other approved hair‑removal techniques
• Recommend appropriate skincare products and educate clients on proper usage
• Maintain strong knowledge of ingredients, product lines, and treatment benefits
• Follow all state board regulations for sanitation and disinfection
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment
• Build strong client relationships through excellent communication and service
• Maintain accurate treatment records and uphold all licensing requirements
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current, active state esthetics license
• A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience performing esthetic services within a licensed spa or salon environment is required
• Proven proficiency in performing standard facial treatments and knowledge of various skin conditions
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills; with the ability to listen actively and convey treatment information clearly
• Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic with a commitment to professional presentation
• Passion for skincare, wellness, and continued education
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment as well as independently and manage time effectively
• Ability to create a relaxing and therapeutic environment
